Chevrolet Awarded $165,000 in Scholarships to 2022 HBCU Marketing and Journalism Interns

Chevrolet recently wrapped up their sixth year of partnering with the National Newspaper Publishers Association to hold “Discover the Unexpected.” This is a 10-week internship and scholarship program that 11 lucky HBCU students were able to partake. Five of the participants focused on marketing, while the other six were within a journalism curriculum. This extremely successful partnership between Chevrolet and the NNPA is important in regard to inspiring upcoming journalists and professionals.

First Retail Production 2023 Corvette Z06 Convertible Raises $1 Million for Thurgood Marshall College Fund

The 2023 Corvette Z06 was auctioned for a record $1 million in support of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund. The fundraiser was organized by General Motors and drew bids from all over the world. The new Corvette was designed to commemorate the late civil rights leader and first African American Supreme Court Justice, Thurgood Marshall. The proceeds from the auction will provide scholarships and support services to students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

Corvette Racing to Go Global in 2022 
Corvette Racing is expanding to new horizons in 2022, with a global competition program that will see the brand compete in races on five continents. The new initiative will see Corvette Racing compete at the highest levels of sports car racing, including the FIA World Endurance Championship and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The team will also compete in races throughout Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
