The Pittsburgh International Race Complex is the backdrop for a cinematic video introducing Chevrolet's 2023 Corvette Z06 to the world. Initial assessments were published a year after the formal Ride and Drive event. The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix, a 10-day motorsport festival that has been a 40-year tradition in the Keystone State, is also held at Pitt Race.
A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Association, raises money for IDD and autism charities annually. The group has just contracted with Pittsburgh's North Star Chevrolet to secure a 2023 Corvette Z06 70th Anniversary Coupe, which they will raffle off to one lucky ticket holder in August 2023.
Eight generations of the Chevrolet Corvette
The Chevrolet Corvette has been pushing the limits of technology, performance, and style for eight generations while continuing to be a cultural symbol. The 2017 Corvette Z06 represents the culmination of every high-performance Corvette that has come before. The 70th Anniversary package honors the namesake. It has been producing sports cars for the longest time. The 70th Anniversary Corvette Z06 presented by the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix comes in Carbon Flash Black with Satin Black Metallic Stripes and 70th Anniversary badging on the automobile. Chevrolet is producing two special edition versions for 2023.
The special two-tone Ceramic Leather GT2 bucket seats, red seatbelts, contrasting red stitching, and a carbon fiber wheel covered in suede microfiber are other characteristics of the 70th Anniversary versions. The steering wheel, door sill plates, seat headrests, and the unique inside plaque all have 70th Anniversary Edition emblems. The finishing touches include 70th Anniversary center wheel caps, Satin Graphite forged aluminum wheels with a red stripe, and Edge Red brake calipers. Additionally, owners will get a set of baggage with 70th Anniversary emblems. This Corvette is unquestionably one for the history books!
The custom 5.5L 670-hp LT6 V8 engine in this 2023 Corvette Z06 brings the performance-focused Z06 model back to its naturally aspirated roots with flat-plane crankshafts and an 8600 RPM maximum rev limit! Because the engine's sound is so distinctive, engineers built a special exhaust that amplifies it and sends it back to the driver, providing the ideal feedback loop. The expert engine builders at the Chevrolet Performance Build Center hand-assemble each of the LT6 engines' 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
