Chevrolet Vehicle Service Warning Indicators
Today, we explore ten dashboard lights. These indicators inform you about a variety of car issues. All of them are important, and some can save you money or help you avoid an accident.

Airbag Fault
Your secondary restraint system, which includes your airbags and your seat belts, has a fault if you see this light. To avoid a malfunction during an accident, bring your car for service as soon as possible. Your safety matters.

Low Fuel Level Warning Light
This indicator informs you that you're running out of gas. The amount left in your tank varies by the automaker. Do not gamble with this. Stop for gas quickly.

Oil Pressure Warning Light
Your oil pressure is low if this light glows. Safely check your oil. If the oil level is adequate, you likely need your oil pump replaced. Until that happens, your car will not run properly.

Service Vehicle Soon
This light only shines when you need an oil change. Your manufacturer programs it based on their recommended number of miles between oil changes. At your service appointment, we'll also address all other maintenance recommendations for the amount of miles on your odometer.

TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System)
For your safety, never ignore this light. It regards your tires' air pressure. You need to check your tires and fill any low ones to the adequate pressure level. If this light doesn't turn off despite adequate pressure, we can service your TPMS sensors.

Slip Indicator
This light tells you that your car lost traction, and your traction features are engaged. These features only engage in short spurts, so this indicator should briefly flash. If it shines constantly, it likely indicates a malfunction in your traction features. Rely on us for repair to those features when needed.

Charging System Warning Light
This indicator often has a battery's shape on it, but the charging system includes your battery, alternator, associated wires, and other parts. If you see this light, it indicates a problem somewhere along the charging circuit. Your car needs immediate service.

Brake System
This light indicates a brake system fault. You may have reduced brake responsiveness as a result. Do not let this problem stand. Book a brake service appointment with us.

Open Door Warning Light
With this light glowing, you have an open door. Before you drive, safely shut the door.

Coolant Level Warning
Your engine relies on coolant to maintain a safe operating temperature. This light indicates a low amount of coolant. Never run your car when you see this indicator. To avoid serious engine damage, add coolant, and get your coolant system repaired immediately.
