What's New For the 2021 Chevrolet Bolt EV?

There are just subtle changes for the Chevrolet Bolt EV in 2021, which will have a more comprehensive design update for 2022. The Chevrolet Bolt EV has a few changes to color scheme availability for its interior. Now, a white color replaces the light ash gray that was offered in 2020. There are still nine exterior paint colors to choose from for a custom appearance for your Chevy Bolt EV. The Bolt EV is still offered in two trims, but the entry-level trim's name has changed to the 1LT. The Bolt EV gets a few more changes to its interior as well. The KeyPass system, which allows you to start the vehicle using your smartphone, has been deleted. An optional Comfort and Convenience package is now paired with a DC charging port. The DC fast-charging port is now standard on the top trim level called the 2LT.

Which Features Are Available for 2021?

The same two Bolt EV trims are offered for 2021, although they have some minor changes to their interior and a name change for the base trim. The 1LT has a 10-inch infotainment display screen. It has smartphone integration along with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The base trim even has some luxury amenities such as ambient interior lights. The 1LT has a rearview camera, which is now available as a high-definition version.

You can choose to add on the Convenience and Comfort package in 2021 that adds a few more amenities to the list, including a heated and leather-encased steering wheel and heated seats for the driver and front passenger. The 2LT has the cold weather conveniences of the package along with a DC fast-charging port. Its other features include a luggage rack and heated seats for all occupants. A chrome accent strip adds elegance to the door handles.

A one-speed automatic transmission is paired to the electric powerplant.
