Chevrolet has a storied track record of producing robust pickup trucks. The latest Silverado EV ZR2 concept made waves in the famed Mint 400 off-road race. This all-electric racing machine completed the punishing 73-mile course, proving its prowess on rugged trails. In addition, Chevy entered its gas-powered Silverado ZR2 and Colorado ZR2 race trucks.
Thrilling Performance
With three electric motors under the hood, the Silverado EV ZR2 delivers an impressive 1,100 horsepower and 11,500 lb-ft of torque. Drivers can enjoy hair-raising acceleration and substantial pulling power. At the Mint 400 finish, the EV ZR2 still had 40 percent battery life remaining.
Off-Road-Focused Enhancements
Chevrolet outfitted the EV ZR2 concept with key off-road components. It features Multimatic Adaptive Spool Valve dampers providing over 13 inches of travel at both axles and locking differentials for enhanced traction. Additional features include underbody skid shields, 37-inch BF Goodrich KM3 Mud Terrain tires, and a lifted suspension for extra clearance.
2026 Silverado EV Trail Boss Debut
Chevy will introduce the Silverado EV Trail Boss this summer. This variant arrives from the factory equipped with a lift kit, red tow hooks, 35-inch all-terrain tires, and a dedicated Terrain Mode, allowing for eco-friendly off-road adventures.
