Specs at a Glance

The 2020 Chevrolet Traverse is offered in seven trim levels, allowing everyone to choose a favorite. There are some new changes this year to enjoy in the 2020 Traverse, including a V6 engine on all trim levels. From the base model up, the Chevy Traverse now offers more power than ever before. This year's Traverse features an upgraded infotainment system. The Traverse's navigation system has improved from the previous year, too. While the 2020 Traverse gets more standard features in general, it also gets more features available through its various options packages. Two trims to consider in the 2020 Traverse are the L and the High Country. The L is the entry-level model that offers tremendous value with a long list of standard features. The High Country, which tops the line, offers even more amenities, and it also comes with all-wheel drive.

Performance

All trim levels of the 2020 Chevy Traverse are powered by the same engine now. Marking a departure from 2019, the base level of the Traverse now gets a standard V6 engine rather than a four-cylinder engine. Now, the L has the same power output as its Traverse peers, which reaches up to 310 HP at 6,800 RPM. The engine also produces up to 266 LB-FT of torque at 2,800 RPM. This engine has some design features that enhance performance as well, including variable valve timing and direct injection technology. Start/stop technology is another highlight of the engine. Front-wheel drive is standard on most models, but the High Country gets all-wheel drive instead. All-wheel drive is available on the other trim levels.

Appearance

Starting with the L, the 2020 Chevy Traverse has a commanding presence at first glance. The L rides on large 18-inch wheels, and it has 18-inch all-season tires to help get you through harrowing conditions and rough terrain. The L is also equipped with automatic headlights that turn on or off depending on lighting conditions. Black beltline moldings add a savvy look to the L's exterior. Body-colored door handles and mirror caps give the exterior a streamlined finish. The High Country features larger 20-inch polished alloy wheels and tires of the same size. Chrome door handles give it a sophisticated and stylish appearance, while dark-tinted glass ensures privacy.

Features

Both trim levels of the Traverse are well-equipped with a variety of features. Both come standard with 10 cup holders, making it easy to take all your favorite beverages along for a road trip. The L is well-equipped to meet your basic needs and more with a seven-inch infotainment display screen, now updated with clearer graphics, and standard Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Smartphone integration is included, and you also get WiFi. The L has cloth seats. The High Country takes it up a notch with premium leather seats and a panoramic sunroof. With captain's chairs, you get more interior space and room for seven. This trim gets standard adaptive cruise control and an available panoramic camera.
